Good news for the waiting buddies...
The department of telecommunication has decided to release details of bids for the 3G spectrum. According to the news published in Economic Times a detailed information memorandum will be published which will carry all the necessary details of the bid.
The DOT has also said that global operators not operating in India who wish to bid for the spectrum can do so provided they acquire the unified access service license (UASL). The reserve price for UASL is Rs.1658 crore. Together with the reserve price of Rs. 3500 crore this may cause some of the operators to refrain from the bid process.
